Hi, I'm Grant Vermeer
After my time in the Navy I became a real estate agent, and never turned back. I’m now a military spouse and have built a business to help military families save money when buying or selling their home.
I’d love to connect you with a great real estate team and keep money in your pocket.
Don't Take Our Word For It

I knew of grant because we went to the same school and I followed him on LinkedIn. He was the first person I reached out to when looking to buy a home in San Diego. He walked me through the process and was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable on the VA loan and the San Diego market. He eventually put me in touch with a realtor that really suited my needs. If you are not sure about what to do or are just looking for an advisor in your home buying journey, look no further than Grant. Even if he is not your realtor at the end of the day he can be extremely helpful with the process and here is how it worked for me. I loved this process because as a first time homebuyer I had 2 sets of eyes to help, and provide guidance on what to do. This was particularly helpful in the offer and counter offer period. Step 1 Reach out to Grant if you're thinking about buying or selling a home Step 2: He will personally review your situation and call you Step 3: He will match you with a vetted agent & lender experienced in military moves Step 4: You connect with the agent—warm intro Step 5: He will check in along the way to make sure it’s smooth. Complete 100% access to me for any questions.Posted on S TTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a veteran and first-time homebuyer, I can honestly say working with Grant was the best move I’ve ever made. We’re connected on LinkedIn, I followed his posts, and quickly realized how much knowledge he brought to the table. While other realtors stepped back when we explored buying land, building, and navigating the complex VA financing process, Grant leaned in and connected me with the right people. In the end, we found the perfect home with an incredible view, purchased from an active-duty couple near Fort Hood. Grant made sure every step was clear, supported, and in our best interest. We wouldn’t be here today without his guidance, professionalism, and genuine care. Highly recommended.Posted on Jerry HTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We met Grant through a contact our son had on Linked In. Both our son and Grant had attended Bellarmine College Preparatory and The Naval Academy. We were looking to sell our home in the Monterey area. Grant was most helpful in our preparing to list our home for sale. He was responsive and informative. Prior to our listing our house, Grant let us know that he was becoming involved in a non-profit organization that would benefit Veterans, which would preclude him from continuing his activities in being our Realtor. He recommended Ms. Anne Martin from Keller Williams Realty and she provided us with excellent service throughout the entire process. We were not living locally which required Ms. Anne to handle many details a seller might usually handle. The entire process was thorough and expediently handled. Mr. Grant demonstrated excellent care and concern and Ms. Anne Martin carried on that performance. We would definitely recommend Grant and Ms. Anne Martin should you be interested in listing or selling a house. As a Realtor in AZ, I was asked by a CA family member to find a local Realtor to help them with a very difficult sale. After interviewing 6 agents in the area, it was obvious to all that Grant and the Vermeer group were the best choice. Grant continually went above and beyond dealing with unresponsive lawyers and the entire CA court systems. Grant stuck with it like a pro! I don't know anybody that could have done a better job, including me! Grant is trustworthy with incredible integrity. He is extremely transparent and a skilled communicator. I HIGHLY recommend Grant for any of your real estate needs.Posted on Rick OrrTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wanted to thank Grant and The Vermeer Group for helping my wife and I find a solid home near Monterey, CA. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable in our decision and was always available to answer all of our questions. He was very transparent and the process extremely easy, even considering my wife and I were located on the other side of the country during the entire process. Our offer was able to get accepted in a very competitive area and I’m convinced it couldn’t have been done without Grant’s expertise. If anyone is interested in buying property in the Monterey area, Grant is your guy. I would not hesitate to work with him again in the future. Thanks again!!Posted on Abby WesemanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Vermeer Group is incredible! My husband and I worked with Kerry and Grant in Georgetown, TX and we couldn’t be happier. They were extremely knowledgeable and made the whole process feel effortless. They guided us through each step and landed us our dream home. We can’t thank them enough!Posted on KC LoewenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Vermeer group IS the dream team. We recently used them to sell our home in Sunnyvale and they could not have been better to deal with. (Multiple offers over listing price after one weekend of showings with an all cash 10-day close) We used them for two previous transactions with excellent results which is why we used them again of course. The attention to detail when it comes to hundreds of pages of documentation is unparalleled. They caught things that could have caused problems later on and were quick to point out everything from misspellings to mistakes made in listing contents by another agent. The paperwork process is always daunting but they have a great program for DocuSign and will walk you through any and everything needed. They have excellent people they work with for inspections, staging, painting, flooring, landscape and anything else that may be needed to spruce up the house. They are always available by phone or text and are two of the most pleasant people you will ever meet. No wonder they're so successful at selling homes. This is the team to beat and you will not beat them.

Client Credit Explanation
In the sake of transparency, I want to provide a look behind the scenes on how we make money. We are able to make our consultation and matching service free for the client because we receive a percentage of the receiving real estate agent’s commission as a referral fee.
In an effort to make a positive impact in the lives of military families, we reduce our fee and request that our referral partner contributes a portion of their commission as a client credit. Clients also have the option of having The Vermeer Group donate an equivalent amount to a military focused non-profit organization in lieu of receiving it as a credit.

About Grant Vermeer
USNA '17 Graduate
My Time in the Service
My journey began at the United States Naval Academy, where I graduated in 2017. From there, I served six years as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer, completing four submarine deployments and leading teams around the world.
In 2019, I had the honor of representing our nation as part of the USA Armed Forces basketball team at the Military World Games. We won the silver medal, and I am so grateful for the incredible life experiences the Navy provided me.
Through multiple PCS moves, I became fascinated with real estate investing and saw firsthand how the right real estate decisions could build wealth and stability for military families. I also experienced the challenges that military families face – from frequent moves to finding trusted professionals in unfamiliar cities. I have seen great real estate professionals and I’ve seen some that are actually atrocious. That’s what sparked my mission to make sure military families are being taken care of by the great ones.
Veteran & Military Spouse Owned
From the Navy to Real Estate
After transitioning from active duty, I dove into the real estate world and quickly found my calling. I built a successful career, selling over $50 million in residential real estate and helping countless families find their dream homes.
Then life changed again – I became a military spouse. Suddenly, I understood the challenge from a different angle: how do you build a thriving business when your family’s next move could be anywhere in the country?
That’s when The Vermeer Group was born. I needed a business I could operate from anywhere, and I wanted to use my experience to help military families at scale. By building a nationwide network of trusted real estate agents, I could serve the military community no matter where they PCS.
Now, I’m on a mission to ensure every military family has access to exceptional real estate professionals who understand their unique needs – from their first consultation to closing day.
